Because the LoPro® does not look like an antenna and is very
inconspicuous, it has been used in a wide range of other applications.
Every day, Systems Integrators learn to use the unique design of the LoPro®
to keep their creations out of harm's way. Our new Ground
Independent models are perfect for system integration, or OEM
requirements; that require nema enclosure applications.
- OEM's - The diversity
of mounting styles, frequency availability and cable and connector
configurations makes the LoPro® antenna for almost any OEM application,
including ground independent applications where plastic nema
enclosures are used.
- Traffic Signal Managers
- Allows for adjustment of traffic signals based on volume of traffic.
Also allows public safety (police, fire, ambulance) to control signals
to safely and quickly get them through dangerous intersections.
- Cellular Repeaters - A
six-story underground parking deck in Boston has installed LoPro®
antennas in the ceiling on each level, used as repeaters to prevent
cellular telephone customers from losing signal while inside the
parking facility.
- Utility Meter Readers
- Sending a meter reader door-to-door is expensive, time-consuming and
more prone to error. Utility companies have instead begun to use the
LoPro®¨ in their systems for wireless download of gas and electric
meter readings.
- Express Mail Drop Boxes - The express
mail carriers make a promise to deliver your package in 24 hours. They
need to know when your package hits the bottom of the bin. A tiny
transmitter sends a signal to a central office to let them know to
send a driver.
- Vending Machines - A
small computer inside each vending machine downloads a data blip which
is transmitted to a central office. The company thereby knows what to
load on trucks serving a route, if coins are jammed, if a refrigerator
unit needs service and how much money the driver should bring home at
the end of the day.
- Golf Course Management
- Used atop irrigation controls, course superintendents can now water
greens and fairways more effectively. On resort courses frequently
played by guests unfamiliar with the hole layout and yardage, a
computer screen and GPS tracker are installed on each golf cart to
provide tips on play and distance to the green information... all fed
through a LoPro® antenna.
- Public Safety - The
Perfect antenna for the public safety sector. Available in UHF,
800, 900 Mhz. This is the right antenna for police, fire,
EMS. Never worry about broken or bent whips again.
